Introduction to the Module
Welcome to the Level 4 extension. This advanced module is for practitioners who are ready to move from supporting individual pupils to influencing whole-school culture. Here, we shift our focus from practice to leadership. You will learn how to audit school policies, mentor your colleagues, and use action research to drive meaningful, sustainable change in your setting. This is your pathway to becoming a true leader in neuro-inclusive practice.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this module, you will be able to:
- Analyse whole-school policies and practices (e.g., behaviour, uniform, homework) through a neuro-inclusive lens to identify systemic barriers.
- Lead a small-scale action research project to enhance neuro-inclusive provision in a specific area of your school.
- Mentor and support colleagues (e.g., new LSAs) in developing their own neuro-affirming practice using a structured, supportive approach.
- Confidently articulate the rationale for strengths-based approaches to school leaders and stakeholders to advocate for change.
